Are You Flying Into San Antonio, Texas?
Have you been to San Antonio, Texas before? If so, it's no wonder that you are returning to that beautiful city. If you have never been to San Antonio, this probably won't be your last trip. There is so much to see and to do that you probably won't be able to do it all in a short visit. Maybe you have your trip all planned out already. If not, from using airport transportation services in San Antonio to arranging for your accommodations, here are some things that might help you.
Airport Transportation Services - If you won't be needing a car once you arrive at the Alamo City, then your best option is probably to take the shuttle that will deliver you right to your hotel. That will work best if you're focusing your activities in the historic downtown area of San Antonio. After all, things like the Alamo, the famous River Walk, and La Villita are all within walking distance of most downtown hotels. You can take a cheap taxi or a free trolley car if you want to go to the Mexican market where you can buy things like home decor and Mexican dresses.
On the other hand, if you are planning to leave the city, consider reserving a rental car even before you arrive in San Antonio. Charming towns like Boerne, Wimberly, Gruene, and Fredericksburg are worth the trip. If you do decide to rent a car, consider asking for one with a GPS in it, as it's pretty easy to get lost in San Antonio.
Select Your Accommodations - Again, your plans will probably dictate where you will stay while you're in San Antonio. If you are staying for only a short visit and you will be focusing on seeing historic sights, then a downtown hotel is probably your best bet. Consider choosing a historic hotel. There are even a couple of historic hotels that claim to be haunted. Wouldn't that add to the fun of your stay?
If you'll be in the San Antonio area long enough to visit nearby towns, consider staying closer to the freeway that will lead you to your destinations. For example, a hotel in the north central part of the city will be close to the highway out to Boerne and Fredericksburg. Another idea is to stay at a bed and breakfast in one of the little towns. If you'll be concentrating on things like golf and relaxation, look for a resort hotel.
